The tripod legs support up to 26.5 lb loads, and the ball head supports 44 lb. When the two are combined, the payload is 26.5 lb, but the ball head can also be removed and used with other gear to support 44 lb should you require that.

The CNC-machined 6061 aluminum parts of the tripod are hard anodized, which makes the surface tough against scratches and scuffs. The twist leg lock system is easily opened with a simple quarter turn along with the 2-section rapid center column, which enables you to extend the tripod to a maximum height of 75.5. With the tripods three variable leg angles, it allows you to splay the legs completely out, so the support can drop to a minimum height of 9.4. At the tripods apex, the spider has been hollowed out to keep the tripod lightweight, and a 1/4-20 threaded socket is found under and on the side of the spider for photo or video accessories.
